About Martin Bakkebø

Martin Bakkebø is a contemporary artist from the coastal city of Ålesund, Norway. What began as a passion for cars evolved into an artistic career centered around automotive art. From selling drawings to friends, he has grown to create and ship large-scale paintings to collectors around the world.

While studying marketing for three years, Martin developed his art as a personal project, which eventually became a successful almost full-time career. Entirely self-taught, he has refined his technique through years of dedication and hands-on experience.

Today, Martin primarily creates commissioned paintings of clients' cars, capturing the character and emotion behind each vehicle. Alongside commissioned work, he also produces original pieces inspired by his own passion—often creating paintings for his own home before offering them for sale to collectors.
